Tasmanian Devil

The Tasmanian Devil has been released into the wild for the first time in 3000 years. Tasmanian Devils look a bit like bear cubs or smallish dog fully grown. They were descovered in the 1800's. The Tasmanian Devil is a carnivorous marsupial.  It was once native to  Australia and was only found in the wild in Tasmanian. I think it looks like a dog rat or rat bear.

Current Events Facts

The capital of Belguim is Brussels. It has 1.2 million people and is home to the European Union headquaters.
Despite the high alert for terrorist attacks, Brussels is a safe place to live. There may be the risk of something happening but this is the case in many European countries. Brussels is the biggest city in Belgium and it's home to the  parliament. It's also a major business hub of Europe which means it's expensive since the city caters to a lot of wealthy business people. Attractions are on the expensive side and  items like buses and train and food can be rough on the wallet.

Current Events

Hi There!

Today I'm going to talk about current events in the news. Scientists have been looking at a planet forming for the first time and they are using a very special telescope.

Guess what that telescope was named. Drum roll....

It was called Very Large Telescope!

It is located at European Southen Obersvatory and the scientists found a star sytem being born. Images show a spiral of dust and gas around what they call a young star called AB Aurigae.

This is an image off their web site,  I think it is one they got out of the telescope.
The disc around the young AB Aurigae star shows a ‘twist’ marking the spot where a new planet is being formed. How is the Very Large Telescope Operated? | ESO Norge
